The Lake's great lawn is a perfect natural amphitheater and plays hosts to various live performances. The most recent concert was final leg of the #BenHowardSA tour. An overcast and gloomy morning turned into a beautiful sunshiny day, where Ben Howard fans flocked to Zoo Lake by the thousands, to picnic and dance away to the ‘I Forget Where We Were’ hitmaker’s tunes. The event was a great success and we would like to thank the Zoo Lake family, for the venue and great hospitality, as well as our sponsors Castle Lite Lime, Reload Energy, Kopparberg Cider and Carrera, our official eyewear partner.

We are the largest outdoor art exhibition and our artists exhibit their fine art in the following mediums – Watercolour, pastel, oils, acrylic etc . We also have sculptors – wood, clay and pottery. Look for our yellow flags and yellow caravan. We are situated on the corner of Jan Smuts Ave & Westwold Way, Saxonwold, Jhb. Selection of new artists takes place twice a year in May and September. Great venue to bring your children and meet up with old and new friends.
